Hotz's in Hubbards
Nova Scotia was a fantastic destination for a full Hotz Family Reunion! We stayed in Hubbards, on a little cove off of St Margaret's Bay. A big clapboard house for all 12 of us (including Shack) was a perfect jumping off point to explore the area. Deep sea fishing, hiking and even a bit of yoga.

Of course we had to do a little day trip to nearby Peggy's Cove. Not sure what all the fuss is about, to be honest...
Much prettier and "real" was a jaunt over to Mahone Bay.
Lunenburg Deep Sea Fishing
As a family, we grew up fishing at our various summer rental cottages on lakes around the Ottawa Valley. Reeling in small and large mouth bass, lake perch and sunfish were nothing compared to a day deep sea fishing with Lunenburg Ocean Adventures. Lots of mackerel, pollock and even some cod. Duncan's Cove Hiking Trail
Duncan's Cove Trail is a stunning hike near Halifax. It's about 8km along the coastal headland with unmarked and unmaintained trails. It's all on us to find our way!

Not much elevation on this hike but it did require some sure footing.
